SkateABLE™ for children with disabilities
Trillium Skating Academy is very excited to announce a partnership initiative with KidsAbility & Gliding Stars Inc. to be able to offer a one-of-a kind program that makes it possible for children with physical disabilities to participate in skating classes.
SkateABLE™ is a 50 minute program designed to allow children with physical disabilities to learn how to skate in a supportive, social, and laid back environment. Skaters in this program will participate in semi-private lessons and small group activities to develop basic skating techniques and new friendships.
We can accommodate skaters with disabilities such as: Autism, Aspergers, speech and language delays, hearing impairment and communication issues, and learning disabilities.
Through the use of adaptive skating equipment that only we have available, we can also accommodate skaters with physical disabilities such as cerebral palsy, multiple sclorosis, spina bifida, muscular distrophy.
